A man and wife prostrate before the Deity in a Śiva temple, she in the woman’s way and he fully extended in ashṭāṅga praṇāma. This reverent salutation subdues the ego, strengthens humility and opens the doors of rapport between the worshiper and Iraivan, He who is worshipful.§
