The spirit of the day is putting the philosophy into practice. Gurudeva spoke this morning saying "There are two kinds of philosophy. One is that which is simply studied and well understood. This is of course important, but the second kind of philosophy is that which is applied to our lives. And the emphasis for all our sishya, students and members of Saiva Siddhanta Church should be putting the philosophy into action throughout your daily life, all day long, in all your activities."

"When cease the five (sense) knowledges,

together with the mind,

and the intellect

stirs not—

that, they say,

is the highest course."
